PROYECTO TERAPIA GÉNICA (ASO)- ESPAÑA

GENE THERAPY PROJECT (ASO) – SPAIN

In order for the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital to evaluate the viability of this future clinical trial, it is essential to determine the exact number of families interested in participating.

The collaboration of all families in this initial phase is a necessary step to bring us closer to a potential treatment for PACS1 syndrome in Europe.

The process is brief and confidential.

FAQs (Preguntas frecuentes)

No te preocupes.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • What is ASO Therapy? An advanced technology using «molecular patches» that correct genetic instructions at their source, targeting the root of the pathology without permanently altering DNA.
  • Current Evidence: Successful results in animal models and very positive progress in the first 3 human patients treated to date.
  • Is this Registry binding? NO. This is a non-binding expression of interest. It is a necessary step to prove the feasibility of a trial to the regulatory committees.
  • What if I don’t have a current reference neurologist or hospital? Don’t worry. If you don’t currently have a neurologist or a hospital that has recently seen the patient, you can fill in the details of the last hospital or physician who examined them.Critical Deadline: The registry closes on April 13, 2026, to allow for data processing and present it to the hospital ethics committee.
  • Location: Priority is currently for residents within the European Union. For cases outside the EU, please consult via email.Medical Inquiries: For detailed technical or medical questions: merce.bolasell@sjd.es.
